Welcome to Serif, please read these terms and conditions carefully as you agree to be bound by them, whilst using Serif Website.

"Serif" and “Software With Imagination” are both registered trademarks of Serif Europe Ltd. There may well be other trademarks or registered trademarks of respective owners used within this site.


Your Account

If you create an account on Serif Website, you are responsible for all activities that occur under your account or password. You should maintain the confidentiality and secure of your password. If you think it has been used in an unauthorised manner, you should report it immediately.

Serif reserves the right to close accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders as appropriate. If we cancel an order, no charge to yourself will be incurred.


Privacy

Please review our privacy policy here as it governs the privacy practices undertaken by Serif.


Website Availability

At all times we will be doing our utmost to maintain the availability of the site or limit the duration of any downtime. However, due to the nature of the internet we can not guarantee the availability of the site at all times. Maintenance and repairs also have to be undertaken to improve the site which may disrupt our service.

Software Packaging Disclaimer:

Some software titles presented through this Web site may be presented in a packaged carton. This is purely for illustrative purposes. As such, software may not be available in a packaged state. In these instances, software will be shipped in a method consistent with standard OEM packaging procedures.

Gallery Submission Disclaimer

All persons sending submissions to Serif for use in our gallery give Serif the right to publish their work on our Website and/or for use in our Newsletters. If at any time you wish for us not to use your name, please do not hesitate to contact gallery@serif.com.


Product Ordering

Product Pricing and Availability

We have a competitive pricing policy where we monitor our competitors and deliver you very competitive prices.

All prices shown on site include applicable VAT rate.

All products are available at the time of purchase unless you are pre-ordering when the product will be made available as soon as possible after the time of purchase.


Payment

You can pay for your order by credit card, debit card or cheque. We currently accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Delta and Switch/Solo. If you are writing a cheque, please make it payable to Serif. Serif will only take payment went the goods have been despatched.


Delivery

In normal circumstances we will aim to deliver to UK destinations within 7 days of order placement.


Returns & Cancellations - Unwanted Products

Serif will refund or exchange any unwanted products. If you wish to return any goods for a credit note, or to receive a refund please call 0800 376 1988 (UK) or 800 489 6720 (US) to obtain a returns number (RMA number) and the details of how to return your products.

Your right to return unwanted products is limited to 7 days from the date of delivery, unless a longer period is specified on your order confirmation, product packaging or delivery note. Where possible, products should be returned to Serif in unused condition, with their original packaging. No returns can be accepted without an RMA number.

Serif cannot accept responsibility for goods lost in transit after being sent back to us. The return of goods is the responsibility of the sender and we recommend sending them back by registered or recorded delivery.

The customer is required to pay any return postage costs.


Electronic Software Downloads

Serif's Electronic Software Download (ESD) products are provided under the terms of the license agreement applicable to the product. Serif is committed to the prevention of software piracy and in addition to the standard terms applicable to purchases of physical products, the following terms also apply:

All ESD Products remain available to download from your Serif.com account for 14 days from the date of purchase.

During the 14 days following purchase, you may download any ESD products you have purchased a maximum of 3 (three) times.

If you wish to download your products after the 14 day period has expired, or more than 3 times, the purchase of Serif's Download Protection Service (see below) is required.

Should you wish to return any ESD products for a refund, the Returns procedure above should be followed. Please note: once you have been refunded for an ESD product, it must be permanently removed from your PC and cannot be downloaded again.


Download Protection Service

Serif's Download Protection Service (DPS) is designed to protect your investment in Electronic Software Download (ESD) products by allowing you to download any products you have purchased after the initial 14 day period has expired, or your number of available downloads per product limit has been reached.

By adding Download Protection Service to your order, you can protect yourself should the worst happen and your PC be stolen, be damaged by viruses, or anything else occur that could require you to reinstall software for which you don't have a backup.

For a small fee, Download Protection Service will allow you to download any ESD products you have purchased up to a maximum of 6 additional times for up to 2 years after the date of purchase.

Please note, DPS does not in any way alter the terms of the license agreement for the product you have purchased, it does not allow you to install your ESD products on additional computers, or distribute your ESD products to any other parties. Any evidence suggesting that your DPS is being used to facilitate piracy or unauthorised distribution of the products you have purchased will result in the cancellation of your entitlement to continue to download products you have purchased. The fee paid for DPS is refundable only if all products purchased concurrently with DPS are returned within the time period specified by the Returns procedure above.

DPS can only be purchased concurrently with the purchase of an ESD product from Serif as part of a single transaction, it cannot be purchased at a later time, or without the simultaneous purchase of a Serif ESD product.
